Our Campaign
Let's fix our city together
As your coucil member, I will protect our Constitutional Rights. I will allow people to speak without interruption.
I will push to allow citizens to participate by Zoom, move to increase speaking time, work to add non-agenda speech, and push to have the meetings start at a time when citizens can attend.
I will not support new fees and advocate for not taking on new debt for fancy buildings and parks, especially when necessities are unmet.
I will work to foster a more involved partnership with KISD, the County, and State and Federal representatives for the betterment of our community.
I will work to make Killeen a more business friendly city and support small businesses while working to bring manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics to Killeen.
And I understand how taxes and budgets work, will advocate for the City at regional meetings and KEDC, and move to use existing nonprofits instead of using tax dollars to do the same things.

Partnership
Ensuring that All Voices are Heard
We should be more actively partnering with local non-profits;other communities; KISD; and county, state, federal, and regional representatives to provide assistance to everyone in the community.

Most importantly, the City Council should be here for everyone. Access to meetings by making the time easier for people to attend, allowing citizens to participate on Zoom, allowing more opportunities to speak, and active engagement from the council are needed to bring the growth we need.

About Me
If you would like to know more, reach out!
I grew up in Upstate NY where I earned my Girl Scout Gold Award before aging out of foster care and starting my college career at Syracuse University. After getting married, PCSing with my husband, and having children and working I finished my Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Legal Studies.
I am a former Killeen City Councilmember. I have managed multimillion dollar budgets and owned my own business here in the Killeen area. I am a military (retired) spouse and ran an FRG on Ft Hood for 3 years and 2 deployments with 96 families. During that time I earned numerous awards and recognitions including 1st Cav Volunteer of the Year, Commander's Award for Excellence, Commander's Award for Public Service, Dept of the Army Patriotic Civilian Service (personally and also as a family, The Heart of the Iron Ironhorse, and was inducted into the Artillery Order of Molly Pitcher. I was also a Girl Scout Leader for Dasies, Brownies, and Juniors. I have been married for 24 years. My husband was a Marine for the first 8 years of our marriage and then 6 years in the Army. He has been medically retired since 2014 after 18 years and 5 months of service.
We have two children who have grown up in Killeen. Our oldest is 19. He graduated from Ellison and the Career Center in 2023 and is working in an industry where he is using those skills he learned at KISD. Our youngest is 14. She will start her Freshman year at KISD in the fall and plans to be a veterinarian.
I have been, and will continue to be, a vocal and active advocate for all citizens of Killeen and very involved in our local community.
Killeen is our home.
